Experience Leadership

Experience leadership is a safe space where executives, people managers and high potential individual contributors can experience their strengths, stretch their limits, and challenge their assumptions, to build their agility, enhance their executive presence, and develop as leaders. Through coaching, role-playing, mapping and awareness exercises, listening to themselves and learning to listen more acutely to people around them, clients are invited to experience who they are and how they come across as leaders. Experience Leadership also helps leaders understand the true nature of their challenges and what skills and tools they can use to face them. Experience Leadership empowers leaders to engage with their organizations, teams and stakeholders in a way that brings clarity, energy, and impact. While training and workshops can teach how to act like a leader, LET’s coaching is designed to help you actually experience yourself as a leader, and enhance your executive presence, influence and agility.

A 2018 Global Leadership Forecast published by Development Dimensions International, the Conference Board and Ernst and Young underscored that only 42% of leaders and 30% of HR professionals declared in 2017 that leadership quality in their organizations was high. The figures are even lower in Tech companies, where only 23% of technology leaders and HR professionals considered overall leadership quality to be high. While analyzing the solutions for increased leadership quality and for making the most of high potential talent, the report pointed out that high potential leaders placed Coaching at the top rank of the 10 types of leadership programs they desired to see in their companies while it only ranked 8th in the top 10 leadership development program types provided by their organizations. This most likely has an impact on the low appreciation company leaders and HR professionals have of their leadership quality.

This comes as no surprise: while educating and training are important to scale out corporate initiatives and create alignment over an organization’s business strategy, talent and leadership development are about people and behaviors. Training can tell you how to behave, it cannot change your behavior. Training can tell you about active listening, mindfulness, empathy, emotional intelligence, or any of what Forbes identified in December 2017 as the 16 Essential Leadership Skills for the Workplace of Tomorrow, but leaders will only develop those skills and become the leaders their organizations need through practice, monitored by themselves in partnership with an external coach who knows them, understands their environments, and will both challenge and champion them all the way.

Experience Leadership is tailored to each participant, using coaching techniques to create the safe space for leaders to tune into their strengths, learn about their growth areas, actively listen to the signals of their business and personal environment, to develop the awareness, skills, habits and behaviors they need in order to be and show up as the leaders they can become. Our goal is to unleash each leader’s potential, and with a tailored plan help you become the leader you want to be.
